Position Summary:
Compiles, posts and maintains cash receivable records of IPM/IPCC within specified procedures.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities (both shifts):
- Counts money to verify amounts and compares totals to Z tape totals.
- Receives money and makes change as needed.
- Verifies balances on accounts.
- Types and files reports and receipts as needed.
- Maintains a good communication with co-workers and maintains a positive and professional work environment.
- Performs other duties as required.
- Records and deposits amounts received including endorsements and listing of checks and preparation of deposit slips and Loomis Fargo Bags.
- Prepares reports of transactions for posting.
- Maintains cash bank and verifies all cash banks on a regular basis. Receives money and makes change as needed.
- Researches cash register tapes, inventory records and invoices.
- Maintains restaurant gratuity distribution and reconciles weekly.
- Prepares cigarette coupon reimbursement.
- Maintain ATM balances - order monies for ATM, and replenish/print report for posting.
- Maintain additional change order monies.
- Make deposit for donation box.
- Deposits miscellaneous cash receipts.
- Transfers money from EOD into safe for processing the following day.
- Receives and verifies banks for Gift Shop, Guest Relations Admissions, and Restaurant.
- Facilitates end of day closing, verifies cash, checks and credit cards documented on daily worksheets. Checks out each register drawer.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree in accounting; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen and background investigation.
- Native American preference will be given.
Knowledge, Abilities, Skills, and Certifications:
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), including computerized accounting, auditing theory, bookkeeping practices, and record keeping procedures, as well as appropriate local, state, and federal regulations and requirements.
- Knowledge of research methods and techniques.
- Ability to communicate effectively in the English language both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to solve complex problems and deal with a variety of indistinct variables in frequently atypical situations.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to interact and maintain good working relationships with individuals of varying social and cultural backgrounds, employees and officials.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently, make solid decision, and exercise independent judgment.
- Ability to interpret policies and procedures.
- Skill in preparing, reviewing, and analyzing operational and financial reports.
- Skill in using computerized accounting software programs, standard office equipment including 10-key adding machine, and word-processing, spreadsheet, and database programs.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk. The employee occasionally is required to stand; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
